President Donald Trump is expected to announce any hour (or day) now, whether or not he will pull the United States out of the Paris climate agreement. While the world anxiously waited for his decision today, there were two loud statements encouraging Trump keep the US commitment to the agreement.
Trump's environmental, trade, and immigration policies, risk doing serious and lasting damage to American economic competitiveness. Human talent and financial capital know few borders in today's modern world. Let's not let America's overall economic competitiveness in the world go the way of America's automotive industry.
Looks like James Baker III and George Shultz struck out with their conservative answer to climate change pitch to the Trump administration. That puts Baker and Shultz in good company—former Vice President Al Gore also struck out in his meeting about climate change with Ivanka and Donald Trump back in December.
